"Broad Street Lessons" by Sandy Hall
19 x 9" acrylic on wood -- unframed
See the world like never before through the whimsical paintings of folk artist, Sandy Hall as her unique style captures your heart and soul. Rising from humble beginnings in Perry, Florida Sandy's paintings have evolved to include critically acclaimed pieces that are collected by people all over the country. Almost 10 years ago, after suffering a paralyzing stroke and being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Sandy began to paint as a form of therapy and relaxation. This was the first time she ever painted in her life and people encouraged her to go further with it. Through her faith and dedication Sandy continues to beat the odds and share her testimony through her work. On the surface, Sandy's work seems to be innocent and non-threatening, but if you look deeper, there are observations about everything, from life, death, and religion, to childhood, pain, and politics. Sandy's paintings bring us to life in a mystical and enchanting time that is both past and present. Its people, places, and heritage come together beautifully in each piece of this spectacular collection.
