"Mr. Barnes" by Jerry Jordan

16 x 20 inches oil on canvas --framed

Jerry Jordan is a productive artist born in Racine, Wisconsin.  As a painter, he's part of a growing movement of artists embracing classical representative painting. Jordan counts such artists as Henry Ossawa Tanner, John S. Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla and Aaron Douglas just to name a few, as his artistic influences.  He has graced the UMOJA Magazine as the cover artist, was commissioned by Madion's College to create a mural for the new south campus and has exhibited his works at Overture as a part of the "Justified Art" show. Jordan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a B.A. in Art, as well as a MS in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in Art Education.  He also works as an academic advisor/college recruiter at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education.
