Since 1973, Ed McCluney has been an exhibiting and a visual arts professor. He's known for his printmaking and drawings but also creates in oils and watercolors. McCluney subject matter include the genre of architecture, natures, nudes, family and travels. His influences were Alex Jackson, Jack Coughlin, and Gabor Peterdi. McCluney taught at the Massachusetts College of Art, Boston' Santa Reparata, Florence; and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge.
His art is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts and the National Center for African American Art, Boston; MIT and Harvard, Cambridge; Yale University, New Haven; Samuel L. Jackson and Damon Wayons, Los Angeles to name a few.
