"Quetzacoatl" by Israel Soloman
40 x 30 inches, acrylic on canvas (2022) -- unframed

Israel Solomon is a visual artist with a studio practice based primarily in Indianapolis, Indiana. Soloman has a passion for creating art, and expressing himself visually through paint. As an artist, his work is very figurative and based in abstraction. He uses vibrant colors and rhythmic geometric patterns to create his compositions, and often draws on personal experiences with my family, friends, acquaintances, and experiences. Visual art has been a primary means of expression for him throughout his life, as he began drawing as a child. As someone who has not always been very vocal, he often found it easier to express his feelings and thought process through a creative visual process. It is important for him to create works that are personal to his own experiences, in hopes that others can connect with the energy that the work produces.
